💎 Crystal Clear Waters

Samiopoula Beach, commonly known as Psalida, lies on the small island south of Samos and is one of the area’s best-known boat-excursion destinations. It can be reached only by sea, turning a beach visit into a complete day-trip experience.

🏖️ A small sandy beach

The beach is about 50 metres long and around 15 metres wide. Light sand, turquoise water and the low natural landscape create a scene different from the pebble beaches common on Samos. The atmosphere also depends on how many excursion boats arrive.

🌊 Clear water and a gradual seabed

The water is clean and often displays vivid turquoise shades. The seabed deepens gradually, making the beach approachable for families in calm conditions. Wind can produce waves, so visitors should follow the crew’s guidance.

🤿 Snorkelling and marine life

Clear water and rocky edges are suitable for snorkelling. A simple mask is enough to observe the seabed and marine life around the islet. Children should remain close to shore and under supervision.

⛵ Access only by boat

Excursion boats usually operate in season from Pythagorio and, depending on the programme, from Kampos or Ormos Marathokampos. Departure times, length of stay, meals and extra stops vary. Confirm the exact programme before departure.

☀️ Limited facilities

The beach has no permanent resort infrastructure. Umbrellas or services may be included in a specific excursion, but this is not guaranteed. Bring water, a hat, sunscreen and personal necessities.

🧭 Exploring Samiopoula

If the schedule allows, visitors can also see the island’s simple landscape and chapels. Always follow the crew’s instructions and return to the boat on time.

💡 Useful tip

Before booking, ask how long the beach stop lasts, whether food is included and what equipment is provided. Carry a waterproof case for your phone or camera.
