💎 Crystal Clear Waters

Kokkari Beach, also known as Tarsanas or Long Beach, is the long beach stretching along the northern side of the picturesque village of Kokkari. Located right next to the settlement, it combines a classic Aegean setting with immediate access to cafés, restaurants and tourist services.

🌊 Shore and sea

The shore is covered mainly with small and medium-sized pebbles. The water is clean, deep and refreshing, with the vivid blue colour that characterises the northern coast of Samos.

🌬️ Wind and waves

Because of its northern exposure, the beach is often affected by wind and can become wavy. These conditions make it especially popular with windsurfing enthusiasts, while calm days offer excellent swimming and open views across the Aegean Sea.

☕ Facilities and choices

Along the beach there are organised sections, beach bars, cafés, restaurants and accommodation. There are also more open areas where visitors can settle independently while remaining close to the centre of Kokkari.

🚗 Access

Access is easy by car, scooter or on foot from the centre of Kokkari. Its location is ideal for visitors who want to combine swimming with a meal, coffee or a walk through the village.

📍 Location

The beach lies on the northern coast of Samos, in front of and west of Kokkari, approximately 10 kilometres from Samos Town.

💡 Useful tip

Check the strength of the northern wind before visiting. During strong meltemi winds the sea may be rough, while calmer days reveal the clear water and the full beauty of the long coastline.
