Agia Paraskevi Beach on Samos – Clear water in a quiet coastal cove
Agia Paraskevi Beach lies on the northeastern side of Samos, in the Nisi area beyond Cape Kotsikas. It is a small beach in front of the quiet settlement of Agia Paraskevi and is reached before continuing towards Livadaki. The road distance from Samos Town is about eight kilometres.
🏖️ A small picturesque shore
The beach has sand, pebbles and stones and retains the atmosphere of a quiet seaside settlement. The surroundings are less developed than the island’s major organised beaches. The small chapel of Agia Paraskevi stands at the edge of the shore and gives the place a distinctive character.
🌊 Turquoise and deep water
The water is clean, turquoise and deeper than at many shallow family beaches. It is excellent for swimming when conditions are calm. Stones on the seabed create an interesting environment but require care when entering the sea.
🤿 Snorkelling
Clear water and rocky features make the area suitable for snorkelling. Agia Paraskevi is better suited to visitors seeking a quiet swim, reading and close contact with the sea than to those looking for loud music and extensive organisation.
🍽️ Facilities and food
The area offers limited but useful food and drink options, including a seaside taverna or seasonal venue. As the beach is not extensively organised, bringing drinking water and basic supplies is recommended.
🚗 Access from Samos Town
The beach is reached by road from Samos Town towards Kotsikas and Agia Paraskevi. The route includes bends and passes through quiet scenery. Parking is possible near the settlement, although space can be limited on busy days.
🧭 Separate from Livadaki
Agia Paraskevi is a separate beach and should not be confused with Livadaki. Livadaki lies farther along and is approached through a different, more demanding section of the route. Agia Paraskevi is the more direct option beside the village.
💡 Useful tip
Choose a calm day for the best visibility and more enjoyable snorkelling. Bring water shoes and a mask, and combine the visit with a relaxed meal or a stop at the small chapel.
