Weather in Samos – Climate & Conditions

Samos has a typical eastern Aegean climate with long, sunny summers and mild winters. For most of the year, visitors can expect plenty of sunshine, clear skies, and very good conditions for outdoor activities and beach visits.

☀️ Summer Weather

From May to September, temperatures are usually high, often ranging between 26–34°C. Sea temperatures are pleasant, making swimming ideal. During summer, northern winds (meltemi) may appear and refresh the atmosphere, especially on exposed beaches.

🌬️ Wind & Sea Conditions

Wind intensity can vary by area. The northern and western coasts are usually more exposed to wind, while many southern beaches are more protected. Always check wind speed when planning beach or boat activities.

🌦️ Spring & Autumn

Spring and autumn are excellent periods for hiking, sightseeing, and exploring villages. Temperatures are moderate and nature is at its best, especially in the mountainous areas.
